A leading specialty chemicals company based in Brazil is seeking a Research Scientist – Formulation & Application. This role involves providing technical support for formulation development and delivering customer projects. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or related fields with 5 to 8 years of experience in the cosmetics and chemical industry. Strong communication skills and the ability to work in cross-functional teams are essential. The position offers a hybrid work model.
Position Summary The role will provide technical support for local laboratory work, with a primary focus on formulation development to support customer projects, the promotion of VantageTM products, and customer events. Responsibilities include preparing reports and applying VantageTM raw materials in formulations, with the goal of providing practical tools for the sales force and supporting strategic customers in the region.
The Research Scientist – Formulation & Application will be a science-driven project leader, responsible for planning, managing, supporting, and executing formulation and product development projects in LATAM, with a special emphasis on Brazil. This role will work closely with global R&D and Marketing teams, ideating, identifying, and developing new products for market launch, contributing to the growth of Vantage Personal Care in LATAM and globally.
Key responsibilities include developing formulations for major customers and evaluating their performance to demonstrate the benefits of our technologies, developing new personal care applications, and creating market-relevant concepts that promote VantageTM technologies through marketing campaigns, customer events, trade shows, and industry activities. In addition, this role will design and perform (or coordinate) the necessary performance tests to demonstrate and reinforce the value proposition of VantageTM technologies.
The position will be located in Brasil.

Education: Bachelor of Chemistry, Pharmacobiology, Cosmetics Technology, Pharmacy or related areas, linked to sciences (Chemistry).
Experience: between 5 to 8 years' working experience in the cosmetics and chemical industry.
