Overview

Louis Dreyfus Company (LDC), established in 1851, is a leading global merchant and processor of agricultural goods (also called commodity trading) with more than 22 000 employees worldwide. LDC reported that in 2014 the Group started to rotate to Process harmonization, Global Organizations and especially Digitalization by opening a Center of Excellence (CoE) for Finance, IT and HR based in Lyon. Together with the CoE, the LDC Groups created a Global Finance Team, called FPSO (for Finance Processes Systems and Organization), which is reporting directly to the Group CFO and aims to: Lead the Finance Transformation of the group; Digitalize LDC Processes and organizations; Help LDC to rotate to Finance best practices and best tools.

Main Responsibilities

The FPSO team is looking for Financial Specialist, who will be in charge of one or more of the below end-to-end process flows:

• Payment flow (incl. integration with other systems), cash income flows and bank statement
• Controlling
• Accounting, fixed assets and month end closing
• Integration with Consolidation and Reporting

The Financial Specialist:

• On one side, guarantees the LDC Group practices and processes related to commercial processes
• On the other side, support countries in their execution but also guarantee efficiency in terms of tools, organisation and processes

This applies in different kinds of activities:

• Live countries support and small enhancements: enhance user experience, provide continuous improvement, be the core model keeper and supervise the delivery of changes, keep documentation up to date
• Small projects, called “Ad-Hoc”: launch and drive initiatives to improve BOLD
• BOLD implementations in new countries: act as a referent for CORE processes and data related to his scope. Find the balance between local needs and Group requirements
• Innovation: support initiatives integrated with BOLD linked to innovation (analytics, automation, switch to paperless)

The Financial Specialist will work for BOLD implementation in new countries, concretely in Brazil rollout (BORA Project), in charge of group of processes related to Finance flows, as well as being responsible for scope and deadlines.

This role requires close relationship with our Business partners, other members of the Program such as PPSO (for procurement), EPSO (for execution), IPSO (for Industry) and hand-in-hand collaboration with our DT&A departments.

On top of his/her activities related to Global Finance Transformation, the Financial Specialist will help the group to switch to other transformation initiatives (such as Artificial Intelligence, Business Intelligence, Block chain) by providing his/her functional expertise.

Qualifications

Experience

3/5 years of strong operational experience ideally.

The candidate will have several or more of the below items:

• Experience from a Finance Consulting or Technology Consulting firm
• Participation in Finance transformation project either as an internal or as an external resource
• Experience in working in project mode and ability to perform in various roles from individual contributor to a leadership role
• Experience in Finance Transformation projects
• Working experience in companies dedicated to agriculture or commodity business
• Experience in working in project mode
• Experience in international environments
• Experience in process design and implementation in an IT tool
• Experience establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with other business organizations; successful experience in working with diverse groups of people in a problem-solving environment
• Experience and expertise on SAP S/4 for one or more FI submodules or processes

Other skills (Computer Skills, etc)

• Fundamental understanding of core accounting and finance processes is required.
• Strong ability to gather & analyze information, define problems and form a plan of action.
• Evident ability to analyze and challenge workflows, being analytical and synthetic.
• Exceptional organizational ability with a very strong attention to detail.
• Must be able to work independently and take ownership of this role.
• Experience establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with other business organizations; successful experience in working with diverse groups of people in a problem-solving environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work under time pressure and result oriented.

Academics

Leading business school, Leading Engineer School, University degree in Business Administration with a major in:

• Information System and/or
• Finance/Accounting and/or
• Process & organization management
