Your responsibilities

• Lead Strategic Sourcing Initiatives: Develop and execute sourcing strategies for key commodities across LATAM, ensuring alignment with global procurement goals and delivering measurable value.
• Manage Supplier Relationships: Build and maintain strong partnerships with regional and global suppliers, ensuring performance, compliance, and continuous improvement.
• Drive Contract Negotiations: Lead complex negotiations to secure favorable terms, mitigate risks, and ensure long-term value through robust contract management.
• Monitor Market Trends & Risks: Analyze commodity markets, pricing trends, and geopolitical factors to anticipate risks and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Ensure Operational Excellence: Oversee procurement operations to guarantee timely availability of goods and services, while optimizing cost, quality, and service levels.
• Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Partner with internal stakeholders (Finance, Legal, Supply Chain, etc.) to align procurement strategies with business needs and ensure contract compliance.
• Manage Financial Exposure: Identify and manage currency and market risks, leveraging financial tools and insights to protect margins and enhance profitability.
• Mentor and Develop Talent: Lead and coach a small team, including trainees and interns, fostering a high-performance culture and supporting career development.
• Ensure Compliance and Governance: Work closely with Legal and Compliance teams to ensure all procurement activities adhere to internal policies and external regulations.
• Leverage Digital Tools & Analytics: Utilize procurement systems and data analytics to drive insights, improve decision-making, and enhance sourcing efficiency.

The experience we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Business or Engineering;
• Solid background in procurement, especially within commodities in a regional/global context;
• Proven track record in developing and executing strategic procurement with tangible results;
• Practiced in steering complex sourcing activities and high-level contract negotiations with suppliers;
• Adept at managing currency risks and recognising financial opportunities;
• Proficient in developing comprehensive knowledge of advanced procurement and sourcing tactics;
• Keen negotiation skills coupled with the ability to manage contracts and suppliers effectively;
• Analytical approach, able to evaluate market trends to aid in strategic decisions;
• Self-driven with autonomy to lead projects and propose decisions with the business;
• Exceptional communication skills, facilitating collaboration with both internal teams and external partners;
• Capable of collaborating effectively with Legal departments to ensure contracts are beneficial and secure;
• Experience in leading a team.
