We are looking for a Data Migration Specialist - Brazil, who wants to learn and transform their career, in a CLT contract hybrid or remote.

In this role you will :

The Data Migration Specialist is responsible for transitioning and transforming data from legacy systems to new platforms. The specialist will ensure data integrity, security, and accessibility throughout the migration process, thus supporting the organization’s strategic initiatives and operational efficiency. The professional will proactively identify and mitigate risks, ensuring a smooth and successful transition with minimal disruption to business operations.

Main Responsibilities :

Data Migration and Transformation : Design and implement data migration processes. Develop scripts, ETL processes (Extract, Transform, Load) and tools for data migration, adapted to the specific requirements of the project. Utilize SQL, data mapping, and transformation techniques to optimize efficiency.

Data Integrity and Quality : Ensure data integrity and validation during the migration process. Perform regular audits and validation checks to verify the accuracy and completeness of the migrated data. Oversee user acceptance testing (UAT) and adjust the migration approach as needed.

Project and Risk Management : Plan and manage data migration projects, including resource allocation and schedule management. Identify and mitigate the risks associated with data migration, developing proactive strategies to address potential challenges.

Compliance and Governance : Ensuring that data migration processes comply with industry standards and regulations. Adhere to organizational policies and procedures.

Documentation and Communication : Generate regular progress reports for stakeholders. Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all data migration activities, ensuring transparency, accountability, and knowledge sharing.

Essential Requirements (Hard Skills) :

Experience : Minimum of 8 to 10 years of experience. At least 5 years of experience in data migration and management.

Education : Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

Technical Tools and Skills :

Proficiency in SQL and data migration tools like Talend, Informatica.

Experience with database management systems (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle) to manage and migrate data.

Proven knowledge and experience in the design and implementation of ETL processes.

Advanced English and / or French.

Soft Skills :

Problem Solving : Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

Communication : Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Attention to Detail : Strong attention to detail.

Adaptability : Ability to work independently and in a team.

Project Management : Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Differentials (Nice to Have) :

Education : Master's degree in a related field.

Certifications : Certification in data management (e.g., CDMP) or advanced certifications in data migration tools (e.g., Talend, Informatica).

Knowledge : Experience with data migration to the cloud (AWS, Azure). Familiarity with agile project management methodologies. Knowledge of data security and privacy regulations.
