The Data Analyst within the Pricing team at Mixam plays a key role in ensuring our global prices are competitive, profitable, and aligned with our global supply chain capabilities and overarching pricing strategy. This position focuses on setting and maintaining supplier pricing, monitoring margin performance across product categories and geographies, and responding quickly to market changes. Working closely with our Data, Supply Chain, and Product teams, the Analyst will use data and competitive insights to optimize Mixam’s pricing, ensuring we meet or exceed margin targets while offering our customers exceptional value.

This is a cross‑functional role with interaction with multiple teams and stakeholders across the business, so this role will require strong communication and relationship building skills to ensure seamless information exchange and alignment within each country and function.

Key Accountabilities
  • Track changes to any machines, supplier net costs, product cost or markup changes, print and participation rules and report on supplier order volume impact, product performance, and overall revenue.
  • Own every aspect of cost and retail price updates- from initial input to final validation, including recording any changes, ad‑hoc audits, and rollback procedures.
  • Own, maintain, and evolve Mixam Market Positioning dashboard (Mixam vs. competitors by country & product); reporting on insights regularly.
  • Conduct ongoing competitor monitoring across key products and geographies, identifying pricing gaps and opportunities for improved positioning.
  • Ensure product‑specific minimum margins are met to ensure contribution margin and overall company margins are met.
  • Prepare and maintain regular reporting on pricing and product performance, such as competitor benchmarks, regional product margins, order volumes, and revenue contribution.
  • Track and analyse key metrics including average order value, gross margin, and product/category mix, providing both month‑on‑month and year‑on‑year comparisons.
  • Contribute to price elasticity analysis by product and region, recommending price moves where demand is least sensitive.
  • Monitor for anomalies in price curves or sudden changes in supplier costs and highlight potential impacts.
  • Investigate root causes of pricing anomalies or cost fluctuations and propose actionable solutions to address them.
  • Translate reporting into actionable insights and recommendations for leadership and cross‑functional teams, focusing on risks, opportunities, and clear next steps.
  • Partner with Data teams to maintain & evolve dashboards and reporting tools, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and data integrity.
  • Define max discount percentages.
  • Present insights/recommendations to leadership, product, and supply chain teams in a clear and concise manner that drives understanding and action.
  • Define and maintain rounding and threshold rules to ensure price‑curve smoothness and customer predictability.
  • Own the pricing model roadmap (regional and product level), including proposal, testing, rollout, and post‑launch performance reviews.
  • Contribution margin bridge (Retail List → Mixam Markup % → Supplier Net Costs → Margin Minimum → Contribution) with variance explanations.
  • Work with Product & Marketing teams to develop promotional strategies that protect margin while hitting volume targets.
Qualifications
  • Experience in a pricing, commercial, or financial analysis role, preferably in eCommerce, printing, or related industries.
  • Understanding of margin calculation and basic financial modelling.
  • Familiarity with eCommerce pricing strategies and competitive analysis techniques.
  • Strong Excel skills and confidence working with large datasets; familiarity with tools such as SQL, Tableau, PowerBI or Python is an advantage.
  • Highly analytical with excellent attention to detail.
  • Commercial awareness and ability to balance competitiveness with profitability.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with cross‑functional teams.
  • Comfortable working in a fast‑moving environment where priorities can change quickly.
Additional Excel Proficiency
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookups, formulas).
