A leading scientific information solutions provider is seeking an independent Customer Success & Business Development Consultant for Latin America. The role involves engaging customers, developing business opportunities, and maintaining strong relationships. Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree in a science-related field, at least 5 years of relevant experience, and be fluent in English and Portuguese. Customer Success & Business Development Consultant – Latin America

CAS is seeking an independent consultant to support delivering services that combine customer success expertise with business development activities, focusing on consultative engagement, solution-oriented selling, and collaborative account management.


Key Deliveries include :


Customer Success & Engagement


  • Facilitate onboarding and enablement sessions for CAS users.

  • Provide guidance to help customers realize the full value of CAS solutions.

  • Maintain strong relationships across multiple levels within client organizations.


Business Development


  • Identify opportunities to grow, retain, and cross-sell within existing accounts.

  • Develop a pipeline of new business opportunities in the assigned territory.

  • Conduct prospecting activities, including calls, emails, and presentations.


Strategic Communication


  • Deliver compelling presentations and messaging to build awareness of CAS solutions.

  • Support marketing activities such as workshops, seminars, and industry events.

  • Represent CAS at conferences and trade shows as agreed.


Reporting & Documentation


  • Maintain accurate records of activities and opportunities in CRM (Salesforce / LEX).

  • Provide regular progress updates on engagement metrics and deliverables.


Required Qualifications :


  • Bachelor’s degree in a science-related field (preferred).

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in sales, account management, customer success, and business development.

  • English fluency (written and spoken); Portuguese required; Spanish is a plus.

  • Proficiency with CRM systems (Salesforce / LEX) and virtual meeting tools (Teams, Zoom, WebEx).

  • Dynamic, proactive, and collaborative mindset.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).


Required Expertise :


  • Proven success in solution-based sales and consultative engagement.

  • Strong ability to translate complex concepts into clear, actionable insights.

  • Skilled in relationship building across organizational levels.

  • Familiarity with scientific information tools and intellectual property solutions (preferred).

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.


Location & Travel

Based in Brazil; with regional travel within Brazil and across Latin America required up to 20% of the time.


This is an independent consulting engagement. The consultant will be responsible for all taxes, insurance, and business expenses. Duration, deliverables, and compensation will be agreed upon in the consulting contract.
