This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of YLD. We are currently looking for a Contract Senior Software Engineer (React/Typescript) in Latin America.

We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Senior Software Engineer to join a dynamic client team focused on building innovative digital products. In this role, you will develop and deliver scalable, maintainable, and high-performance frontend solutions using React and Typescript. You will collaborate closely with designers, engineers, and stakeholders in an Agile environment, following test-first and CI/CD practices. Your work will contribute directly to creating accessible, responsive, and visually consistent applications. This position offers opportunities to mentor peers, refine engineering processes, and work with cutting-edge technologies. Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and passion for software craftsmanship are essential for success.

Accountabilities
  • Design, implement, and maintain high-quality frontend features using React, Typescript, and modern CSS methodologies (Tailwind, CSS Modules, CSS-in-JS).
  • Collaborate on component composition and state management using patterns like Redux, MobX, or Context.
  • Work with modern tooling and bundlers such as Vite, esbuild, Yarn, and Turborepo to ensure efficient builds and deployments.
  • Write and maintain comprehensive unit, integration, end-to-end, and visual regression tests.
  • Integrate designs from tools like Figma into functional, pixel-perfect UI components.
  • Contribute to documentation for libraries, components, and design systems.
  • Participate in code reviews, pair programming sessions, and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
  • Apply best practices in CI/CD, infrastructure as code, and software testing to maintain high-quality standards.
Requirements
  • Proven commercial experience with React and Typescript.
  • Strong CSS expertise, including experience with modern approaches (Tailwind, CSS Modules, CSS-in-JS).
  • Experience with component-based architecture, state management patterns, and design systems.
  • Familiarity with modern tooling for transpiling, bundling, and package management.
  • Hands-on experience with unit, integration, E2E, and visual regression testing.
  • Comfortable using design tools and integrating designs via APIs (e.g., Figma).
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and collaborative, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an agile mindset.
