A global engineering and consulting firm is looking for a candidate to manage Smart Materials lifecycle, ensuring item structuring and BOM integrity. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related fields, proficiency in inventory control and strong analytical skills. Manage and operate Smart Materials (SMAT / Hexagon), ensuring appropriate structuring of items, materials, classes, attributes, codes, and Bills of Materials (BOM).
Ensure integrity, consistency, and ongoing updates of Smart Materials databases to support purchasing, logistics, receiving, inspection, and installation activities.
Control the full material lifecycle within the system: requisition, MTO / MDR, specification, procurement, inspection, receiving, warehousing, distribution, and consumption.
Support buyers and engineers in the correct creation, classification, and linkage of items within SMAT, ensuring corporate standards and technical taxonomy are maintained.
Perform inventory analyses, consumption tracking, lead time evaluation, ABC curve classification, and availability assessments, generating advanced reports within SMAT.
Participate in the development and control of Material Take-Off (MTO) and Material Demand Requests (MDR), ensuring technical compliance and availability.
Develop and implement improvements in material management processes within Smart Materials, including automations, workflows, and ERP or engineering system integrations.
Support Engineering, Procurement, Logistics, and Construction teams, ensuring material flows are aligned with schedules, priorities, and work packages.
technical support to internal teams on proper usage of SMAT / Hexagon, promoting compliance, standardization, and best practices.
Monitor supply chain KPIs linked to SMAT: inventory accuracy, backlog, availability by work package, receiving / shipping efficiency, among others.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Production, Materials, Industrial, Mechanical or related fields), Business Administration, Logistics, or Supply Chain.
Additional certifications or training in Hexagon Smart Materials / Smart Construction are strong advantages.
Advanced expertise in Smart Materials (SMAT / Hexagon) — configuration, operation, governance, and integration.
Solid understanding of the industrial material lifecycle in EPC / EPCM projects.
Proficiency in inventory control, MTO, MDR, BOM, and technical classification of materials.
Experience with integrated ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Totvs or equivalents).
Strong analytical skills for data interpretation, reporting, and decision-making support.
Knowledge of Supply Chain methodologies, internal logistics, and procurement processes.
Fluent English.
