We are looking for a skilled and experienced Electrical Technician with a strong background in the primary tobacco processing industry. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems and equipment to ensure smooth and continuous production operations.
- Perform preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance of electrical equipment in the primary tobacco processing area.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical panels, control circuits, PLC systems, sensors, and drives.
- Monitor machine performance and ensure minimal downtime during production.
- Assist in equipment installation, commissioning, and calibration.
- Read, interpret, and rectify electrical diagrams, wiring schematics, and machine layout plans.
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs, checklists, and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, company standards, and JAFZA policies.
- Collaborate with the mechanical and production teams to resolve technical issues efficiently.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and energy‑saving projects.
- Diploma or ITI in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in the primary tobacco industry (experience is a must).
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, PLCs, sensors, motors, and industrial control equipment.
- Hands‑on experience with production line machinery used in tobacco processing.
- Ability to work independently and in a team‑oriented environment.
- Ability to read and troubleshoot using electrical diagrams and machine plans.
