Job Title: Process/Technical Safety Engineer

Job Summary:

We are looking for a Process/Technical Safety Engineer to join our team in Abu Dhabi UAE. This role is open to UAE Nationals with a Chemical Engineering degree and 02 years of experience. The ideal candidate will support the development and implementation of process safety measures to ensure safe and efficient operations in the oil & gas petrochemical or industrial sectors. This is a great opportunity for fresh graduates to gain hands-on experience in safety engineering and risk management.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Assist in identifying, evaluating, and mitigating process safety risks.
2. Support the development and implementation of safety management systems, hazard identification (HAZID), and risk assessments.
3. Participate in HAZOP, LOPA, and SIL studies under the supervision of senior engineers.
4. Monitor and ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations.
5. Support incident investigations, root cause analysis, and safety audits.
6. Assist in developing and reviewing safety policies, procedures, and technical documentation.
7. Work closely with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams to enhance process safety.
8. Stay updated on international safety standards and best practices (e.g. OSHA, API, NFPA).

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from a recognized university.
2. 02 years of experience in process/technical safety (fresh graduates are encouraged to apply).
3. Basic knowledge of process safety regulations, risk assessment techniques, and hazard analysis.
4. Familiarity with process safety tools (PHA, HAZOP, Bowtie Analysis, etc.) is an advantage.
5. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
6. Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
7. UAE National (Emirati candidates only as per Emiratization requirements).

Preferred Skills:

1. Understanding of HSE management systems and process safety frameworks.
2. Basic knowledge of industry standards like API, NFPA, OSHA, and ADNOC safety guidelines.
3. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
4. Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to safety.
