Job summary
A leading UAE water treatment company seeks candidates with in-depth knowledge and practical experience in operating water treatment and desalination plants. - Must be willing to work long hours, weekends, and be on call periodically.
- Arabic language skills are an advantage.
- Full understanding of company safety rules and procedures.
- Experience with reverse osmosis membranes and chemical handling.
Skills
Knowledge and skills:
- Good command of the English language with verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be flexible: willing to work long hours, weekends, and be on call if required (periodically).
- Arabic is an advantage.
- In-depth understanding of Health, Safety, and Environment Management procedures.
- Full understanding and practical application of Company safety rules.
- Practical understanding of the operating principles of Water Treatment and Desalination plants, including a wide range of auxiliary equipment.
- Ability to operate a wide range of plant from the field and analyze problems effectively.
- In-depth understanding and application of Operating Instructions and Procedures related to RO plants.
- Conduct routine operating and testing procedures in accordance with Operating Instructions.
- Make accurate and timely decisions affecting plant processes and performance.
- Comprehensive understanding and practical experience with chemical systems for desalination and potabilization, including safe handling, dosing, and monitoring of chemicals such as anti-scalants, coagulants, disinfectants, and pH adjusters.
- Knowledge of sludge thickening, dewatering, and disposal methods to handle by-products of the desalination process in compliance with environmental standards.
- Operate reverse osmosis membranes, prevent fouling, and perform cleaning processes to optimize efficiency.
- Isolate and prepare equipment for safe work, including issuing Safe Work Permits.
- Conduct system pre-start checks and safely return plant to operation.
- Perform First Aid and CPR when necessary.
