We have an urgent requirement for a Senior Data Scientist in the BFSI domain for a banking client in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

Role Purpose

The Data Scientist acts as an analytics translator, communicating complex data requirements between business and IT stakeholders, and building bespoke advanced analytic tools.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify opportunities for leveraging company data to drive business solutions.
• Mine and analyze data to optimize product development, marketing, and business strategies.
• Assess new data sources and gathering techniques.
• Develop custom data models and algorithms.
• Use predictive modeling to enhance customer experience, revenue, and ad targeting.
• Develop A / B testing frameworks and monitor model performance.
• Coordinate with teams to implement models and analyze outcomes.
• Develop tools to monitor data and model accuracy.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of statistical and data mining techniques such as regression, decision trees, clustering, neural networks, etc.
• Proficiency in programming languages like Python, C++, Java is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving, quantitative skills, and intellectual curiosity.
• Excellent communication skills to convey technical content clearly.
• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field; Master’s or PhD is a plus.
• 7-8 years of experience in mathematical modeling with large datasets and SQL.
• Knowledge of data science domains like AI, econometrics, NLP, time series, causal inference, etc.
