We’re seeking an experienced and highly capable Workshop Supervisor to oversee workshop operations, fleet maintenance, and technical teams supporting our construction and landscaping projects. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, solid maintenance planning expertise, and the ability to manage large fleets of light and heavy vehicles under high operational pressure.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise workshop staff, including mechanics, technicians, and support personnel, ensuring efficient daily operations.
- Plan, schedule, and monitor preventive and corrective maintenance for light vehicles, heavy vehicles, and construction equipment.
- Manage workshop operations to support a large and diverse fleet operating across multiple project sites.
- Ensure timely breakdown response and minimize equipment downtime.
- Monitor maintenance costs, control spare parts usage, and implement cost-saving measures.
- Prepare and submit maintenance reports, cost reports, and fleet performance summaries to management.
- Maintain accurate records of vehicle servicing, repairs, spare parts inventory, and equipment history.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, company policies, and manufacturer guidelines.
- Coordinate with operations, logistics, and procurement teams for fleet availability and spare parts requirements.
- Identify training needs and support skill development of workshop staff.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field is preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in workshop or fleet maintenance supervision, preferably within construction, landscaping, or contracting companies.
- Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to handle workforce and operational pressure.
- Proven expertise in maintenance planning and fleet management.
- Solid technical knowledge of construction equipment, light vehicles, and heavy vehicles.
- Demonstrated ability to manage large fleets and respond effectively to operational demands.
- Strong reporting, cost control, and analytical skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Proficiency in maintenance management systems and MS Office tools.
