Job summary

A leading infrastructure management firm in Dubai is seeking a Workshop Manager to ensure the smooth and safe operation of vehicles and machinery. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and supervising maintenance activities to minimize downtime and maximize asset availability. Candidates should have a Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering along with 5–8 years of relevant experience, preferably in construction or heavy equipment. Strong problem-solving and communication skills are essential.

The Workshop Manager is responsible for ensuring the smooth, safe, and uninterrupted operation of all company vehicles, machinery, and equipment by minimizing downtime and maximizing asset availability. The role oversees preventive and corrective maintenance activities, workshop operations, and resource utilization to support continuous and efficient business operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, implement, and supervise preventive and corrective maintenance programs for all company vehicles, machinery, and equipment.

  • Ensure prompt response to breakdowns and emergency repairs to minimize operational disruption.

  • Manage day-to-day workshop operations, including manpower allocation, tools, spares, and equipment.

  • Monitor asset condition, utilization, and maintenance history to improve reliability and lifecycle performance.

  • Coordinate with operations teams to align maintenance activities with operational requirements and schedules.

  • Liaise with procurement for timely sourcing of spare parts, consumables, and external maintenance services.

  • Manage and supervise external service providers and vendors, ensuring quality, safety, and cost effectiveness.

  • Ensure full compliance with company HSE policies, statutory regulations, and manufacturer standards.

  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, reports, and documentation related to repairs, inspections, and servicing.

  • Identify opportunities to improve maintenance processes, reduce downtime, and optimize workshop efficiency.
