Job summary

A leading talent consultancy in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Visitor Services Ticketing Host to warmly welcome visitors and provide information about the museum. The candidate should be experienced in customer service and fluent in Arabic and English. Responsibilities include greeting visitors, selling tickets, answering inquiries, and handling feedback to enhance visitor experiences. This role requires a high school diploma, preferably with a background in tourism or hospitality, and exposure to museum environments is advantageous.

Qualifications

  • Experience in museums or tourist attractions is preferred.
  • Fluency in additional languages is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Greet visitors warmly and create a welcoming atmosphere.
  • Assist visitors with inquiries regarding facilities and events.
  • Sell tickets and memberships while handling cash accurately.
  • Provide support for visitors with additional needs.
  • Coordinate group bookings and ticket issues.

About the Role

The Visitor Services Ticketing Host role is responsible for warmly welcoming our visitors and providing them with the information services and tickets to result in an enjoyable visit to the museum.

Responsibilities
  • Greet with a smile and create an welcoming spirit for our visitors. Making them feel safe inside and outside the museum. Following the Tone of Voice of the museum.

  • Host the Information point assisting visitors with enquiries relating to: the museum and its facilities/services; events; the local area; transport; museum contents.
  • Sell tickets products services and memberships for NHM.
  • Accurate cash handling and reconciliation

  • Answer incoming phone calls and emails.

  • Handle feedback ensuring it is recorded/filed according to policy and feedback is responded to with appropriate guidelines and template.
  • Assist with Membership enquiries.

  • Upsell and cross-sell products..

  • Be knowledgeable about NHM policies exhibitions upcoming events DCT sites the UAE especially the activities on Saadiyat Island.
  • Assist with People of Determination services ensuring all visitors are able to enjoy their experience and are aware of the additional services available to them.
  • Assist with the coordination of group bookings arrivals and their journey through the museum.
  • Act as a Welcome Host when required.
  • Scan tickets and problem solve any ticketing issue.

  • Be positive dependable punctual and always a team player.
  • Always look for opportunities to delight our visitors find solutions and enhance the visitor experience.
  • Any other duties requested by Visitor Services
  • Operation lead in line with the objectives of the department.
Required Experience
  • Customer service experience.
  • Fluent in Arabic and English (spoken and written).
Preferred Experience
  • Additional language skills are an advantage.
  • Experience in museums or tourist attractions.
Education/Qualifications
  • High school diploma (degree in tourism history art museum studies hospitality preferred).
