Veterinary Doctor

Abu Dhabi

This role provides a relocation package for candidates based in South Africa and Europe.

The Veterinary Doctor will play a key role in ensuring the health and wellbeing of dairy cattle on large-scale farms. The Veterinary Doctor will diagnose and treat illnesses, oversee preventative health programs and manage reproductive health.

Key areas
  • Collaborate with nutritionists to optimize feeding programs
  • Maintain accurate medical records for animals
  • Educate farm staff on best practices in animal handling health monitoring and hygiene
  • Ensure all practices comply with local veterinary regulations and farm policies
  • Perform surgical procedures as needed
Animal Health Care
  • Diagnose and treat illnesses injuries and other health conditions in dairy cattle.
  • Perform regular health checks and clinical assessments.
  • Administer vaccinations medications and other treatments as required.
Preventative Care
  • Develop and implement herd health programs to prevent diseases and infections.
  • Monitor and manage biosecurity protocols to maintain a diseasefree environment.
  • Conduct routine deworming hoof care and other preventative measures.
Reproductive Management
  • Oversee artificial insemination (AI) and natural breeding programs.
  • Diagnose and manage reproductive disorders.
  • Monitor and assist with calving processes and neonatal care.
