As a Utility Engineer reporting into the Senior Project Manager you will be responsible for the planning design installation and management of utility systems within large-scale infrastructure projects. The role involves coordinating utility networks managing the integration of electrical water gas and sewage systems and ensuring compliance with local standards and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and planning of utility systems (water electricity gas drainage telecommunication) for infrastructure projects.
• Oversee the installation and integration of utility services into infrastructure projects. Ensure that the utilities are laid out per design specifications and monitor the progress of related activities.
• Coordinate with local authorities to secure the necessary permits for utility installation and ensure compliance with local regulations and environmental standards.
• Provide technical expertise to resolve issues that arise during the construction and installation of utility systems.
• Supervise testing commissioning and final handover of utility systems to ensure all systems are operational and meet the projects specifications.
• Assist in budgeting cost estimation and financial management for utility-related components of the infrastructure project.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Utility Engineer in infrastructure projects with a focus on utilities such as water electricity drainage sewage and telecommunications.
• Experience in utility coordination for large-scale infrastructure or urban development projects in the UAE.
• Strong knowledge of UAE utility regulations and standards including local municipalities requirements and environmental laws.
• Experience working with local utility service providers (e.g. DEWA ADWEA) and understanding of their processes for approvals and coordination.
• Hands-on experience with the design and construction of utility systems for infrastructure projects such as roads buildings and urban developments.
