Job summary

A leading engineering company in Sharjah, UAE is seeking an experienced Senior HSE Officer to implement and enforce HSE policies, conduct site inspections and safety audits, and monitor compliance with regulations. The ideal candidate should have a degree in Occupational Health & Safety or related field and at least 1-2 years of experience in solar EPC projects. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to safety in utility-scale solar power plants.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in solar EPC projects, preferably in utility-scale solar power plants.

  • Implement and enforce HSE policies, procedures, and guidelines on site.
  • Conduct regular site inspections, safety audits, and risk assessments.
  • Monitor work activities to ensure compliance with local HSE regulations and company standards.
  • Report unsafe acts, unsafe conditions, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Investigate accidents, near-misses, and hazardous events.
  • Participate in emergency preparedness drills.
  • Ensure availability and functionality of emergency equipment.

  • Participate in emergency preparedness drills (fire drills, rescue drills, spill response, etc.).
  • Ensure availability and functionality of emergency equipment (fire extinguishers, spill kits, first-aid kits).
