A leading technology firm seeks a Technician specializing in Fire Suppression & Detection systems based in Abu Dhabi. This role involves technical support for maintenance, troubleshooting, programming, and commissioning of Fire Alarm and Voice Evacuation systems. Candidates must have a diploma in Electrical/Electronics and at least 3-4 years of relevant experience. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential in this proactive work environment, with responsibilities including team management and daily technical reporting.
Technician Fire Suppression & Detection systems is a key role reporting directly to Field Line Manager. As a key member of this team you will be responsible for providing technical support which includes maintenance, troubleshooting, programming, testing and commissioning of Fire Alarm System, Voice Evacuation System and Central Battery Emergency/Exit Light System. You will be managing all the day to day technical system errors and issues and preparing technical and service reports for review of Service Engineer/ops team leader.
As a Technician you will be responsible for maintaining the fire alarm, voice evacuation and central battery system as per the scope of work and to ensure all the maintenance activities are carried out as per the standard guideline provided to you in the form of procedure and checklist. Execution of preventive and corrective maintenance program of each system as per the approved schedule. Preparing field service report along with applicable checklists. Reporting to site engineer for all the technical concerns and status on a daily basis. Maintaining daily service log. Managing the Technicians under you efficiently to complete the task on a timely manner. Supporting the service engineer for all the technical concerns raised by the customer.
What we look for
Diploma or Degree preferably in Electrical/Electronics
Minimum 3-4 years experience.
In-depth Knowledge in Fire Alarm system maintenance, troubleshooting, programming, testing and commissioning preferably in Esser/Shield/Gent/Cooper/ Fire Alarm System.
Fire Alarm System Programming License Holder preferred.
Knowledge in Central Battery systems, Preferably in Cooper/ CEAG/Inotec
Knowledge in Public Addressing and Voice Evacuation systems
Possess team attitude and self-starting work ethics with minimal supervision.
Strong communication skills.
Proactive, Independent and open minded
Ability and desire to find technically optimal solutions
