Job Title:

Technical English Instructor Navigation & Communications (NavCom)



Location:

Abu Dhabi UAE (On-site)



Contract Type:

Short-term / Training Assignment



Tentative Start:

Feb 2026 (TBC)



Schedule:

Monday to Friday 08:00-17:00



Duration:

2 weeks (10 working days)



Class Size:

Up to 13 trainees



Language:

Training delivered in English (trainees are Arabic-speaking)



Job Summary

We require a Technical English Instructor with expertise in navigation and communications systems terminology to support Arabic-speaking trainees. The training is operational and communication-focused: procedures radio/bridge comms reporting and system-based vocabulary.



Key Responsibilities


  • Create and deliver the NavCom Technical English curriculum.

  • Adapt learning content for Arabic-speaking personnel.

  • Facilitate scenario-based practice: navigation briefs, radio exchanges, incident reports.

  • Conduct assessments and provide course reporting.



Course Focus (NavCom Systems)

Technical English vocabulary and communication related to:



  • Navigation operations and procedures

  • Radar terminology and interpretation

  • Signaling and communications systems operations



Deliverables (Mandatory)


  • Syllabus learning objectives

  • Custom materials glossary

  • Interactive exercises & assessments

  • Pre/post evaluation

  • Attendance records & certificates

  • Content ready for approval 2 months before start



Qualifications


  • Proven Technical English/ESP instruction experience.

  • Strong familiarity with NavCom / navigation / radar / communications terminology (maritime/naval context preferred).

  • Excellent facilitation skills and ability to teach non-native speakers.
