Overview of the role

System analyst will play a crucial role in the design, development, implementation, configuration, upgrades, support and maintenance of Microsoft NAV/BC/D365 (F&O) solutions within existing and new expansion stores, with close coordination with digital & IT team, functional heads and business users.

With emphasis on implementing various Software Solutions, Service Packs & Hot Fixes and various IT tools for the IKEA stores within the UAE, Qatar, Egypt and Oman with clearly defined business process & working methods that are in line within the IKEA concept & Al-Futtaim Group’ framework and guidelines.

What you will do

• Plan and execute upgrade and data migration from legacy systems to D365, ensuring quality and data integrity throughout migration process while managing data governance and security policies
• Collaborate with functional head to understand business needs and translate into function requirements, documenting functional specifications, and technical design documents, developing and customizing applications to meet business needs
• Ensure on time, quality, and cost-effective design , development & delivery of all functional MS NAV/BC/D365 projects and enhancement activities within the guidelines of the project methodology.
• Identify opportunities to streamline business processes and improve system efficiencies, recommend, and implement process changes to optimize functionalities in line with Al-Futtaim group and IKEA principal guidelines
• Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting issues, administering SQL databases to ensure there is continuous performance Tuning, using Performance Monitor, and other related monitoring/ troubleshooting tools

What equips you for the role

• Graduate in Computer Science, Information Technology, or similar discipline with 7+ years’ experience
• in business analysis, system design & development, and implementation of ERP within retail industry
• Strong understanding of the Microsoft Dynamics 365 solution and/or NAV/Business central, Azure DevOps or other CI/CD tools
• Sound knowledge of SQL DB administration and programming
• Should be proficient in programming languages like C/AL, AL, X++, C# etc.
• Certification in D365 and knowledge of software development methodologies would be an added advantage
