Responsibilities

Our newest opportunity is for a talented Structural Engineer to join our team, based in Dubai, UAE. This role is responsible for ensuring the structural works are executed in accordance with approved designs, specifications, and international standards, while maintaining the highest levels of quality, safety, and coordination on site.

We envisage success in this role to include;

  • Supervise and monitor all structural works on site to ensure compliance with approved drawings, project specifications, and relevant codes.
  • Review contractor’s method statements, shop drawings, and material submittals for structural components.
  • Coordinate closely with the design team, MEP team, architectural team, and contractor to resolve structural‑related site issues.
  • Conduct daily site inspections and issue NCRs, observations, and reports when necessary.
  • Liaise with the Resident Engineer and Client Representatives on structural issues, progress updates, and technical clarifications.
  • Monitor and report on the quality and progress of structural works, including concrete pouring, reinforcement installation, formwork, post‑tensioning (if applicable), etc.
  • Attend and document site coordination and progress meetings.
  • Ensure that Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies are adhered to on site.
  • Assist in the review and approval of as‑built drawings and close‑out documentation related to structural works.
Qualifications

To be successful in this dynamic opportunity, we envision that your career journey to date will include 10 years of relevant experience, partnered with Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.

  • Ability to use structural analysis and design software, including at least one and preferably several of the following: STAAD, ROBOT, ETABS, SAFE, ADAPT, AutoCAD, REVIT.
  • Low rise / high‑rise building projects.
  • Strong knowledge of structural systems, reinforced concrete, steel structures, and foundation works.
  • In‑depth understanding of local & international codes and standards.
  • Familiarity with Dubai Municipality and other local authority requirements.
  • Excellent communication, reporting, and coordination skills.

  • Preference will be given to candidates who are currently residing in UAE.
