About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Structural Integrity Engineer specialising in steel structures to join our Technical Services team. You will be responsible for ensuring the safety, reliability, and longevity of our steel infrastructure assets through expert inspection, analysis, and maintenance planning.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct regular inspections and condition assessments of steel structures across our operational sites.
  • Perform advanced structural analysis using industry-standard software (e.g., STAAD.Pro, SAP2000).
  • Identify vulnerabilities in steel frameworks and recommend remedial actions.
  • Review and validate structural designs for new steel projects and modifications, ensuring compliance with international codes (AISC, Eurocode, BS).
  • Develop preventive maintenance strategies and oversee repair or retrofitting works for steel assets.
  • Prepare detailed technical reports, risk assessments, and maintain accurate records of inspections and repairs.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (Maintenance, Operations, HSE, Projects) and external partners (consultants, contractors, certification bodies).
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering (Master’s preferred).
  • 7+ years’ experience focused on steel structures, ideally in heavy industrial or mining environments.
  • Proficiency in structural analysis software and CAD tools.
  • Strong knowledge of steel design codes and standards (AISC, Eurocode, BS).
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Fluent in English; valid driving licence required.
