About Wynn Al Marjan Island: On schedule to open in the United Arab Emirates in Spring 2027, Wynn Al Marjan Island has been created as an opulent and entertaining beachside destination for discerning guests to play and relax. About The Position
Wynn Al Marjan Island is currently seeking a Stage Managerto join the resort’s Entertainment Administration team.
Responsibilities
- Schedule call times for rehearsals, technical rehearsals, performances, PR appearances, one-offeventsand other production needs, liaising with other departments asrequired.
- Run rehearsals asrequired, which may include calling of cues and the ability to execute inshow likeconditions.
- Musthave an understanding ofall lifts, winches, scenicelementsand ilus.
- Oversee performances and rehearsals, open andclosethe house, and ensure the smooth and safe delivery of each show.
- Call the show in rotation with other members of Stage Management.Thisrequiresanunderstandingofall technicaland performance elements to succeed inmaintainingcontrol of the show.
- Run a deck track during each performance when not calling the show.
- In liaison with the Company Managerassistwith preparingcommunicatingand distributingthe daily schedule as needed.
- In liaison with the Company Manager and theresidentDirector assistwith managing the performers on the various levels of thetheatreand with loading and unloading from the various apparatus and communicate to automation and stage management on their status.
- Manage all performers in liaisonwith the company managerin terms of safety, time management,efficiencyand communication.
- Work with the Stage Management team to rehearse,maintainand implement safety plans and procedures for the stage.
- Assistwith finding a solution and oversee the implementation of the planin the event of a show-stopduring a performance or rehearsal and communicate the problem to theappropriate parties.
- Make sure the performer understands all aspects of the show as it pertains to stage management.
- Create andmaintaine anup-to-datetraining scriptfor the Stage Management department.
- Notify theCompany Management of any performer disciplinary issues that need to be addressed.
- Work with the Company Manager,Resident Directorand Wynn PR and Marketing teams on all PR and Marketing initiativesandspecial eventswhenrequired.
- Assistwith enforcing all company policies and procedures as they relate to the show.
- support the performers by assistingand guiding their interaction with all Stage Management needs.
- Createan atmosphere that promotes teamwork andassistsin creating a positive atmosphere.
About You
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalentwork-related experience.Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Minimum offour(4) years’managementexperience working as aStage Manager for a large-scale theatrical or production show with automated systems or similar position.
- Must have experience workingwith a variety of cast members.
- Must have knowledge and understanding of automation and rigging which apply to cueing and creating a safe work environment for performers and crew.Mustalsohave knowledge of lighting,audioand carpentry.
- Prior experience working with illnesses a plus.
- Must have the ability to read music.
- Must be able todiscipline performers and perform under pressure.
- Must have the ability to direct and motivate the performers.
