Job description

Jobs at this level are responsible to ensure that Commissioning tasks assigned are properly implemented as per work standards and procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Ability to provide detailed testing report and relevant documentation on testing completed.
  • Ability to organized and perform electrical commissioning activities, SAT, energization and functional testing.
  • Ability to work and testing on ECMS, PMS, FMS, HV/LV Switching board, protection relay, MCC.
  • Ability to work on heavy transformers energization and testing.
  • Familiar with SCADA system
  • Familiar using electrical document: Single line diagram, Equipment layout, schematic / logic diagrams, load list schedule, relay setting document, earthing/ lighting protection layout, cable schedule.
  • Experience with field electrical equipment: motors, Local control station, heat tracing, heaters.
  • Ensure that all PPE, PTW & HSE requirements are adhered to when at worksite.
  • Receives Project documentation and understands Scope of Work related to his discipline.
  • Identify test equipment required to complete testing at worksite and ensure all testing equipment are in safe operating condition prior use.
  • Leads a team to undertake commissioning activities in projects.
  • Interfaces with other disciplines to ensure integration of activities.
  • Undertake functional and Operational tests for various Process Systems.
  • Preparation of method statements, procedures and routines where required.
  • Reports on work progress, bringing to notice potential problems or delays and recommends solutions.
  • Assist during the database preparation for pre-commissioning status index and commissioning technical database for Electrical Systems.
  • Plan, Monitor and assist in Vendor activities as required.
  • Ensure temporary supplies and commissioning spares are adequate for the subsystem testing.

Compliance in accordance with HSE Standard.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering

Minimum _10__ year’s relevant experience within the oil and gas industry with at least 4 years in a key role in Commissioning).
