Job summary

A leading industrial workshop in Sharjah is seeking a skilled Welder / Fabricator to join their team. The role requires cutting, joining, and repairing metal parts using various welding processes. Candidates must have a minimum of 2-3 years of experience in welding or fabrication within a workshop or construction environment. Understanding welding safety practices and ability to read fabrication drawings are essential. This position offers a dynamic work environment focusing on quality and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–3 years welding/fabrication experience in workshop or construction environment.
• Ability to read simple fabrication drawings and use measuring tools (tape, vernier, square).
• Good understanding of welding safety and safe work practices.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for cutting, joining, and repairing metal parts and structures using different welding processes.
• Read and understand drawings, measurements, and job cards to plan welding and fabrication work.
• Set up welding machines and select correct electrodes/wire and parameters (ARC/MIG/TIG).
• Perform welding on plates, pipes, and fabricated parts in various positions.
• Cut, grind, and prepare material using oxy‑fuel, cutting machines, and grinders.
• Fabricate and assemble parts for industrial machinery components.
• Inspect welds visually and repair defects like porosity or misalignment.
• Use workshop machines and tools when required.
• Follow all safety rules and maintain a clean work area.
• Maintain welding machines, leads, and tools in good working condition.

Skills

Knowledge of ARC welding (MIG/TIG)

Education

Welding trade certificate or test pass preferred
