Qualifications

  • Fluently speak, read, and write English and Arabic.
  • 2–4 years of experience in the aviation or electrical industry.
  • Strong interest in power systems and control systems.

Responsibilities

  • Perform technical work at customer premises and airports.
  • Conduct surveys, installations, and maintenance.
  • Manage maintenance tasks and coordinate preventive maintenance.
  • Ensure quality through Site and Factory Acceptance Tests.

Skills

Bilingual communication skills (English and Arabic)
Experience in AFL (Airfield Lighting)
Knowledge of local UAE aviation regulations

Education

Job Location: UAE - Dubai

The Opportunity:

The Service Engineer will be responsible for performing critical technical missions on behalf of ADB SAFEGATE at world-class airports across the United Arab Emirates. Based in our Dubai hub, you will be at the forefront of aviation technology, ensuring the safety and efficiency of airfield operations.

Note: This position is specifically open to UAE Nationals as part of our commitment to the Nafis program and developing local engineering talent.

You will make an impact by…
  • Field Excellence: Performing technical work at customer premises, airports, and installations across the UAE and regional project sites.
  • Full Lifecycle Support: Conducting Surveys, Installations, Maintenance, Calibrations, Testing, Commissioning, and Troubleshooting.
  • Quality Assurance: Performing Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) and Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) to ensure global standards.
  • Operational Delivery: Delivering services within scope and framework agreements, ensuring projects are on time and within budget.
  • Digital Management: Updating the JIRA ticket management system and utilizing CAFM (Computer Aided Facility Management) for real-time reporting and status tracking.
  • Maintenance Leadership: Managing the execution of maintenance tasks, including the issuance and reporting of work orders and coordination of preventive maintenance (PM) procedures.
  • Resource Coordination: Ensuring adequacy in spare parts, tools, equipment, and vehicles while coordinating daily activities with Contract Managers.

  • Must be a UAE National (Family Book holder).
  • Strong bilingual communication skills required. You must be able to speak, read, and write fluently in both English and Arabic to effectively liaise with local stakeholders and international technical teams.
  • Diploma or Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related technical field.
  • Experience (or a strong interest) in AFL (Airfield Lighting), power systems, and control systems.
  • 2–4 years of experience in the aviation, airport, or heavy electrical industry.
  • Ability to travel within the UAE and occasionally to international project sites as required.
The following skills will be an advantage:
  • Experience with AVDGS (Advanced Visual Docking Guidance Systems).
  • Knowledge of local UAE aviation regulations and safety standards.
