Job description
A Snapshot of Your Day

We are seeking a Senior Strategy Project Manager. Your day begins with a weekly check-in meeting with the Benchmarking team, where you review last week’s achievements and align on upcoming priorities. You lead the entire project, ensuring clarity on key activities and challenges. Before lunch, you collaborate with a team member on competitor portfolio analysis. Afterward, you present the project status to the business area management team and the responsible board member. A quick coffee chat with Grid Technologies’ head of portfolio management follows, before traveling to the Power Transformer factory in Nuremberg to meet the factory head. He has requested strategic support, and you scope the engagement and design a plan for how the strategy team can deliver impact. After finalizing the meeting, you enjoy a factory tour before ending the day with a feedback call with your manager on your earlier presentation.

How You’ll Make an Impact
  • Inspiring management with compelling ideas to guide the business area
  • Developing strategies to manage the energy transition while ensuring growth and profitability
  • Identifying key challenges and opportunities in Grid Technologies and shaping transformative project ideas
  • Structuring and leading strategic projects across complex settings toward clear decisions and impact
  • Monitoring progress on transformation initiatives and driving corrective actions
  • Steering and developing other strategy consultants to strengthen team capabilities
What You Bring
  • University degree in industrial engineering, engineering, natural sciences, business administration (Master, Diploma, PhD) or comparable.
  • 3 or more years of experience in a management consultancy or strategy department of a large or mid-sized corporation is a must. Candidates with more experience can be considered for a higher level or vice-versa.
  • Experience in the energy industry and international project work, including collaboration across global teams
  • Proven track record in project management with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a structured, holistic approach to strategic, quantitative, and organizational challenges
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills (English, ideally German), combined with a team-oriented mindset and proficiency in Microsoft Office

Travel, as needed (~30% domestically and internationally).
