Flint International seeks a Senior Network Engineer (R&S/SP) to design, operate, and scale provider‑grade IP/MPLS networks. Your work will ensure carrier-class resiliency, performance, and capacity for high-demand services.

📜 Detailed Job Description

You will architect and support core/edge networks with BGP, IS‑IS/OSPF, and MPLS (L2/L3VPN), driving reliability and traffic engineering. Expect hands‑on with platforms such as Cisco IOS‑XR/ASR and/or Juniper MX, implementing QoS, route policies, and high availability. You’ll lead change, troubleshoot complex incidents, and collaborate on capacity planning, peering, and security hardening. The environment values automation, telemetry, and rigorous documentation to keep the backbone predictable and observable.

  • Design, implement, and optimize IP/MPLS networks for SP and large enterprise use
  • Engineer L2/L3VPN services, routing policies, and TE for scale and stability
  • Perform advanced troubleshooting across edge, core, and peering layers
  • Plan capacity, conduct upgrades, and manage software lifecycles
  • Build runbooks, MOPs, and test plans; lead change windows and RCAs
  • Implement QoS, DDoS mitigation controls, and security best practices
🎓 Required Qualifications & Skills
  • 6+ years in Routing & Switching; 3+ years in Service Provider networks
  • Deep knowledge of BGP, IS‑IS/OSPF, MPLS (LDP/RSVP), and VRFs
  • Hands‑on with Cisco IOS‑XR/ASR and/or Juniper MX (or equivalent SP platforms)
  • Strong QoS, multicast fundamentals, and peering/transit principles
  • Scripting/automation familiarity and excellent documentation skills
✨ Nice‑to‑Have Skills
  • CCNP/CCIE Service Provider or JNCIP/JNCIE
  • Segment Routing (SR‑MPLS/SRv6) and RSVP‑TE/TE automation
  • Experience with NETCONF/YANG, Ansible, Python
  • Telemetry/observability (gNMI/Telegraf/Prometheus)
  • CGNAT, DNS, and IPv6 deployment experience
