Job summary

A large energy organization in Dubai is seeking a Fixed Asset Accountant to manage the accounting for high-value infrastructure and IT assets. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in fixed asset accounting, particularly in asset-intensive environments such as oil & gas or utilities. Strong knowledge of compliance with IFRS and collaboration with IT and procurement teams is required. Professional certifications such as ACCA, CPA, or CA will be beneficial.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of fixed asset accounting experience in asset-intensive environments.
• Strong exposure to IT asset accounting and large ERP systems.
• Professional certification (ACCA, CPA, CA) is a strong advantage.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and control the fixed asset register for infrastructure and IT assets.
• Handle capitalization, depreciation, impairment, and asset disposals.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS and internal accounting policies.
• Support audits, asset verification, and reconciliation processes.
• Collaborate with IT, procurement, and engineering teams on asset tracking and valuation.
