Job description

Senior ELV Design Engineer

Alright, here’s the deal. Italent’s hunting for a Senior ELV Design Engineer who actually knows their stuff—someone who can roll up their sleeves and dig into the nitty-gritty of data center projects (not just sit behind a desk looking pretty). They’re a top-notch MEP consultancy, and they want someone who’s been around the block with ELV systems—structured cabling, security, CCTV, all that jazz.

What’s on your plate?

Lead a bunch of sharp ELV engineers (so yeah, you’ll need some people skills, not just tech jargon).

Take charge of designing and delivering everything from access control to BMS and AV systems. Basically, if it plugs in and keeps the data center running, that’s you.

Own your projects from those rough sketches all the way to construction—no handing stuff off halfway through.

Actually talk to clients and authorities. So if you hate meetings, maybe keep scrolling.

What’s in your toolkit?

Over 10 years of design work in consultancies (if you’ve got less, maybe next time). And at least 5 years in the Middle East—so you know how things roll here.

A degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or something similar. Master’s? Even better.

You should’ve spent at least a year or two working on data centers recently—not just office fit-outs.

Need to know your local authority rules and be up to speed with international ELV standards (not just winging it off Google).

And don’t bother applying if you’re not already in the UAE, Saudi, Qatar, or Bahrain. They’re not into long-distance relationships.

Salary?

Somewhere between AED 20k and 26k, but if you’re a rockstar, there’s wiggle room.
