Qualifications

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical support for engineering teams at base and project sites.
  • Set up, configure, operate, and maintain electronic broadcast equipment, including HD/UHD video, audio, and communication systems.
  • Manage and troubleshoot RF equipment, antennas, and broadcast signal delivery systems.
  • Diagnose and report faults at the system level, liaising with manufacturers for resolution.
  • Conduct site surveys and execute project work professionally and on time.
  • Ensure equipment is updated with the latest software and maintained to safety and technical standards.
  • Prepare and distribute Engineering Books with relevant project information.
  • Oversee broadcast system functionality at project sites and liaise with clients in the absence of the Unit Manager.
  • Conduct post-project equipment testing, reporting unresolved faults.
  • Assist in preparing technical and crew reports.
  • Stay updated on new technologies used by NEP.
  • Manage and instruct assistant engineers and system integrators.
  • Draft technical reports and design engineering workflows.
  • Prepare and update technical documents throughout project lifecycles.
  • Attend technical meetings as required.
  • Be flexible with work hours and travel.
Position Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in broadcast television, preferably in an Outside Broadcast environment.
  • Proficiency in operating and programming broadcast systems (Routers, Switchers, Tally Systems, Multiviewers, etc.).
  • Experience with camera systems, lenses, CCUs, and EVS equipment (LSM, X-File, X-Hub, IP Director).
  • Relevant engineering qualifications or proven track record.
  • Understanding of radio, television transmission, IT systems, and networks.
  • Interest in broadcast technology development and regional applications.
  • Knowledge of Cisco Switches and IP technology is an advantage.
