Qualifications

  • 4-5 years experience in customs documentation and clearance.
  • Must have a Customs Clearance Card for Abu Dhabi.

Job description

Job Purpose: The incumbent would be responsible for all activities relating to the preparation of customs documentation to ensure that any shipments either imported or exported meet all applicable laws of UAE so that entry or export are facilitated seamlessly.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Responsible for import and export clearance procedures of Air, Sea, and Land shipments.
  2. Liaise with officials in various cargo agencies to ensure goods are cleared through customs.
  3. Should be fully conversant with import and export laws and regulations.
  4. Liaise with customers for import or export clearance and delivery of goods.
  5. Assist with transportation and warehousing.
  6. Prepare necessary import documentation such as certificates of origin, bill of entry, and cargo control documents.
  7. Process TRA and HS code approvals for shipments.
  8. Ensure there are no delays in clearing all shipments.
  9. Assist in delivery of cleared goods/parts.
  10. Coordinate with the accounts department for accurate and timely customer billing.
Requirements
  1. Qualifications: 4-5 years experience in a similar position.
  2. Any Graduation Degree or equivalent course. Customs Clearance Card Abu Dhabi is mandatory.
Skills and Competencies
  1. Proven knowledge of the customs law, import and export procedures, government regulations, and political processes.
  2. Strong communication skills.
  3. Complex problem solving and the ability to engage critical thinking skills.
  4. Ability to work under pressure and handle crises.
  5. Should have a valid UAE license.
Languages Required:

English, Hindi; Preferred: Arabic.
