Job Purpose

Join our Group Security team, where you will contribute to maintaining the highest standards of security across the Emirates Group. Our diverse security units include Security Training, Group Security Command Center, Airport Security Unit, Crime Prevention & Investigation Unit, Threat & Risk Assessment Unit, Aviation Security Compliance, Assurance & Regulation, and Business Support Unit—all working together to develop and implement comprehensive security strategies. About this role

The Security Controller (Dubai Hub) - Emiratisation will be responsible for managing and ensuring the security of cargo, aircraft, and airport operations within the UAE, adhering to national and international standards. This role involves implementing preventative security measures, coordinating rapid incident responses, and collaborating with various stakeholders to maintain high security standards and efficient operations.

In this role you will
  • Ensure compliance with security procedures related to cargo, investigate any violations or breaches, and correct them, with a strong emphasis on following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) by all involved.
  • Implement and monitor security measures to protect aircraft within the airport, including pre‑departure and post‑arrival checks, emphasizing the adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) by all staff.
  • Organize and enhance security measures at airport facilities, including gates and entrances, to bolster overall security, ensuring that Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are followed by all staff.
  • Responsible for training and explaining Standard Operating Procedures to other employees and supervising their correct implementation. Also responsible for proposing any modifications to improve the effectiveness of these procedures to ensure continuous improvement and alignment with the best security practices.
  • Commit to close cooperation with colleagues for the general good and efficient procedure implementation. Also, maintain compliance with regulations and cooperate with our partners, whether governmental or private, to enhance security efforts and integrated response across various sectors.
  • Manage strategic workforce planning, including identifying needs and efficiently allocating tasks to meet daily and emergency operational requirements. This includes assessing future needs based on passenger and cargo flow reports.
  • Oversee the development of team skills through ongoing training and performance evaluations to keep pace with the latest security practices and technologies. This also includes encouraging learning and innovation to improve security procedures and responses.
Qualification
  • Completed Degree or Honours (12+3 or equivalent).
  • A minimum of 8+ years of relevant experience in aviation or security operations.
  • Recognised professional qualifications in Aviation Security (AVSEC) or equivalent.
  • Experience within aviation security including cargo security and loss prevention.
  • Effective planning skills.
  • Knowledge of Total Quality Management.
  • Knowledge of Cargo Security and lost prevention.
