The ideal candidate will have 8-10 years of experience in sales for turbomachinery services and a strong understanding of the energy market in the region. Fluency in English is mandatory, with Arabic preferred. This position offers an opportunity to achieve order targets and represent the company at major industry events.

The Company

Our client is the Abu Dhabi subsidiary of a well-established multinational industrial group active internationally in the supply service maintenance and refurbishment of turbomachinery. Their portfolio includes steam turbines compressors and pumps serving the energy oil & gas and industrial sectors.

Role Overview

We are looking for a Sales Manager to develop and manage the service business for turbomachinery within the UAE and the wider Middle East region.

This role combines business development customer relationship management and commercial execution. You will have full accountability for order intake volume and profitability in alignment with the companys strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities
1. Business Development & Sales
  • Develop and expand the service business (maintenance overhauls retrofits spare parts) for steam turbines compressors and pumps.
  • Identify new business opportunities and key accounts across the UAE and Middle East.
  • Maintain and strengthen long-term relationships with EPCs end users utilities and oil & gas operators.
  • Monitor market trends competitors and customer needs providing structured feedback to HQ.
2. Commercial & Tender Management
  • Lead the preparation and coordination of commercial offers and tenders in close cooperation with engineering service and headquarters teams.
  • Ensure offers meet customer requirements while safeguarding target margins and risk profiles.
  • Support contract negotiation and closing phases.
3. Performance & Reporting
  • Achieve assigned order intake targets (volume and profitability).
  • Contribute to sales forecasting pipeline management and periodic reporting.
  • Actively manage the opportunity funnel to ensure sustainable growth.
4. Marketing & Representation
  • Represent the company at trade fairs exhibitions conferences and networking events in the Middle East.
  • Promote the companys capabilities references and technical know-how in the region.
Candidate Requirements
Experience & Background
  • Minimum 810 years of sales experience in the service/maintenance of turbomachinery (steam turbines compressors pumps).
  • Proven track record in order acquisition and margin management.
  • Previous experience in the UAE is strongly preferred ideally with several years already based in the country.
  • Solid understanding of the Middle East industrial energy and oil & gas markets.
Education
  • A bachelors or Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related discipline) is preferred.
  • Business or commercial training is considered an advantage.
Skills & Languages
  • Fluent English is mandatory (spoken and written).
  • Arabic is preferred
  • Strong commercial negotiation skills and ability to understand technical documentation/service scopes.
  • Proficiency in CRM tools and pipeline management.
Personal Attributes
  • Well-established professional network within the UAE/ME turbomachinery market.
  • Willingness to travel within the Middle East region and Europe if required.
  • Structured autonomous and result-driven working approach
