Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct road safety awareness sessions/campaigns and ensure that all drivers have undergone the required trainings.
  • Conduct road safety risk assessments and ensure adequate safety controls are in place.
  • Ensure that IVMS is correctly used and maintained, monitor reports and driver behaviour while driving and prepare driving safety performance reports.
  • Perform periodic vehicle and equipment inspections to ensure that they are maintained in line with manufacturer’s recommendations and Petrofac policies.
  • Carry out audits on road safety to ensure that Petrofac and client requirements on driving safety are met.
  • Develop a Site Traffic Management Plan for worksites to ensure safety by separation of workers from moving vehicles and equipment.
  • Develop and implement an effective Journey Management system.
  • Develop site-specific Emergency Response Plans for managing driving-related incidents and participate in incident investigations.
Essential Qualifications and Experience
  • Graduate degree.
  • NEBOSH GC / IGC or IOSH or any certification in Safety.
  • Expertise in IVMS software.
  • Other HSE trainings/certifications will be an added advantage.
  • 1-2 years of experience in managing and implementing road safety aspects, with specific focus on IVMS data generation and reports.
  • Minimum 2-4 years of experience in any industry.
Skills and Competencies
  • UAE driving license.
  • Ability to conduct HSE and Transport Safety orientation/induction.
  • HSE awareness sessions to workers.
  • Understand and implement Journey Management Plan.
  • Awareness on H2S and breathing apparatus where applicable.
  • Ability to understand and participate in Transport Safety/Road Safety Risk Assessments.
  • Ability to conduct vehicle inspections with thorough knowledge of safety devices.
  • Ability to understand and implement Transport Emergency response plans/procedures.
  • Ability to prepare road safety awareness training materials, maintain database, and generate reports from IVMS or equivalent.
  • Ability to speak, read and write English with good communication skills.
