The Center for Technology, Economics, and Development (CTED) at New York University Abu Dhabi (NYUAD) invites applications for the position of Research Assistant for a one-year appointment, starting no later than September 1, 2025.
The Research Assistant will support research efforts and data analysis related to CTED's projects, focusing on AI, blockchain, and commodities markets. Responsibilities include conducting research, data analysis, literature reviews, translating research findings, assisting with fieldwork, and preparing research reports, concept notes, and academic papers under the supervision of Principal Investigator Dr. Yaw Nyarko.
Applicants should have a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field. Preferred candidates will have experience with field research in emerging countries, randomized controlled trials (RCTs), and proficiency with statistical software such as STATA and Matlab. Knowledge of commodities markets, AI, blockchain, and economic development is a plus. The role involves working independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary environment.
