Role Description:

We are seeking an experienced Subregional Controller to oversee the finance operations for Marsh and Guy Carpenter in the Middle East region, excluding Saudi Arabia. This senior leadership role includes:

  1. Serving as the designated finance officer for regulated businesses in the region.
  2. Presenting financial updates and insights to the local boards of directors.
  3. Managing a team of 48 finance professionals and collaborating with the shared service center in Mumbai.
  4. Ensuring compliance with all local tax, regulatory, and audit requirements.
  5. Partnering closely with business leaders to provide strategic financial inputs.
  6. Driving continuous improvement in financial processes and controls.
Job Requirements:
  • 15 years of experience in a senior finance leadership role, preferably in the insurance/brokerage industry.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills to effectively liaise with business leaders, boards, and regulators.
  • Expertise in audit compliance and regulatory reporting for multinational organizations.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing business needs.
  • Chartered Accountant or CPA qualification.
  • Experience working in a shared service model and leading a geographically distributed team.
Nice to Have:
  • Prior experience working in the Middle East, particularly in the UAE.
  • Familiarity with the local regulatory and tax environment in the target countries.
  • Exposure to consulting or professional services businesses.
