Job summary

A well-established Data Centre client in Dubai is seeking an experienced Data Centre - Quantity Surveyor. This role involves evaluating and negotiating contractual risks, conducting full surveying duties, and preparing monthly cost reports. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Quantity Surveying, 3-5 years of experience in MEP or Data Centre sectors, and strong skills in commercial management. This position supports both internal teams and stakeholders throughout projects.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience in MEP / Critical Facility or Data Centre sectors.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial and contractual management.
  • Familiarity with construction processes and architectural drawings.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and negotiate contractual risks.
  • Conduct full contract surveying duties.
  • Prepare cost value comparison reports.
  • Advise on commercial opportunities and savings.
  • Support procurement strategies and manage orders.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Data Centre - Quantity Surveyor to join a well-established Data Centre client to support the Commercial and Project Management teams.

Our client is looking for a Data Centre - Quantity Surveyor to join them on multiple Data Centre Projects.

Key responsibilities for this Data Centre - Quantity Surveyor role:
  • Evaluate and Negotiate Contractual and Commercial Risks
  • Conduct full contract surveying duties, including establishing the effect of variations, settlement of accounts, and disputes.
  • Prepare cost value comparison (profit & loss) reports for monthly review.
  • Provide advice on commercial opportunities and savings to the management and project team.
  • Advise, guide, and support on procurement strategies, compiling subcontract orders and material purchase orders.
  • Run weekly cost reports and review with the project managers to highlight variances on each project.
  • Mentor, Lead and Develop a Commercial Team with the support of the Commercial Manager
  • Support internal and external Stakeholders (Clients) to provide regular project updates and attend Client meetings when and where required.
Experience required for this Data Centre - Quantity Surveyor role:
  • Degree in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in MEP / Critical Facility OR Data Centre sectors
  • Strong knowledge of commercial and contractual management. Familiarity with construction processes, building materials, and architectural drawings
  • Experience with FIDIC, and NEC (options A – F) Contracts
  • numerical and IT skills, including proficiency in MS Office, Excel, Project, and Word.
