Job Overview:
The QHSES Assurance Specialist applies their conceptual QHSES Assurance knowledge with moderate guidance and direction from colleagues and leadership. They are responsible for solving a range of straightforward QHSES Assurance problems. They will analyze possible solutions using standard procedures and build knowledge of the company, processes, and customers. The QHSES Assurance Specialist understands key business drivers and applies this knowledge to solve problems in straightforward situations by analyzing possible solutions using technical experience, judgment, and precedents.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering preferred, or relevant field of study
- 5+ years of industry experience related to EPC construction or fabrication
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio) and other business systems
- Ability to synthesize complex information, data, and technical documentation
- Creative problem-solving skills
- Ability to translate concepts into clear written and visual instructions or training materials
- Effective communication skills at all organizational levels
- Experience dealing with variable situations with limited standardization
- Strong understanding of Lean/Continuous Improvement principles
- ISO Auditor certifications (9001, 14001, 45001) and internal auditor training
- Teamwork and leadership abilities
- Experience with Management Systems software
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills
- Consistent delivery of key performance indicators related to productivity
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Perform and report audits as per plan
- Update and develop procedures and work instructions
- Develop tools for monitoring KPIs and quality metrics
- Maintain and report on KPI, QI, and COQ metrics
- Collaborate on root cause analysis and process improvement projects
- Lead project teams for process improvements
- Apply problem-solving techniques and Lean principles to resolve deficiencies
- Promote process discipline and standardization
- Mentor process owners in data analysis and decision-making
- Ensure quality standards and propose improvements
- Verify sustainability of improvements through audits
- Monitor and validate process outputs with leadership
- Maintain management system documentation and facilitate reviews
- Present system results to leadership
- Participate in special projects and document management activities
- Manage document workflows within the EDMS system
