Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager – Media Communication to lead media strategies, public relations, and campaign execution within the Department. This role requires a strategic communicator who can develop press releases, media content, engagement plans, and strategic messaging to support high-level initiatives. The ideal candidate specializes in copywriting.
Key Responsibilities
- Content Creation and Editing
- Develop, edit, and proofread high-quality content across multiple platforms, including print, digital, and social media, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and alignment with brand guidelines.
- Write, edit, and oversee the production of press releases, articles, and media advertisements.
- Review and approve content for publication, ensuring it adheres to the highest editorial standards, aligns with the brand voice, and meets legal and ethical requirements.
- Craft key messages, talking points, and official remarks for His Excellency.
- Ensure all external communications align with the department’s vision and strategic goals.
- Editorial Oversight
- Take responsibility for editorial content across all media channels, ensuring consistency in tone, style, and messaging.
- Monitor and analyze the performance of media content across platforms, using insights to guide future editorial decisions and improve content strategy.
- Performance Analytics
- Analyze and report on the effectiveness of media and engagement strategies, providing recommendations for improvement.
- Public Relations & Government Communications
- Build and maintain relationships with media outlets, journalists, and government stakeholders.
- Lead crisis communication strategies when necessary, ensuring transparency and credibility.
- Campaign Management & Engagement Plans
- Plan and execute engagement strategies for major sustainability events such as Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week, UNGA, or IRENA.
- Design and implement multi-channel media campaigns, including digital, print, and broadcast.
- Research & Case Study Development
- Lead the development of case studies showcasing the impact of key initiatives.
- Analyze and report on the effectiveness of media and engagement strategies, providing recommendations for improvement.
- Stakeholder & Leadership Support
- Work closely with His Excellency and senior officials to support their public engagements and official statements.
- Assist in preparing briefing materials, speeches, and presentations for government events and international forums.
Qualifications & Experience
- Around 8 to 12 years of experience in communication.
- 3+ years' of copy writing experience.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and presentation skills in English.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, International Relations, Advertising, Journalism, Media Communications, etc.
