As a Electrical Inspector reporting into the Electrical Manager your role involves both inspection and the supervision of electrical works on the project. Checks and examines electrical activities as the case may be using engineering skills to determine structural soundness and compliance with specifications building codes and other regulations. Inspections may be general in nature or may be limited to a specific area and to be conducted against approved shop drawings materials etc.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough inspections of electrical systems (wiring power distribution lighting etc.) during installation to ensure compliance with local state and national codes including NEC and project specifications.
• Review electrical plans and specifications to ensure alignment with regulatory standards and project requirements.
• Identify and document any non-compliance deficiencies or safety concerns and work with project teams to recommend corrective actions.
• Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of electrical subcontractors and field personnel to ensure work is completed safely and according to plan.
• Provide oversight to electrical installations ensuring quality standards are upheld and that work is completed on time and within budget.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols including PPE requirements safe work practices and adherence to relevant safety regulations.
• Act as the point of contact between the site team project managers engineers and clients offering technical expertise and guidance as needed.
• Work closely with the project manager engineers and contractors to resolve technical issues and ensure proper workflow and project delivery.

Qualification:

• Bachelors degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering Electrical Technology or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in electrical inspection and site supervision with at least 4 years working in a consulting environment.
• Proficient knowledge of electrical codes standards and installation practices.
• Experience with project management tools scheduling software and reporting systems.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and supervise electrical teams on-site.
• Experience with large-scale Construction projects related electrical installations.
• Proficiency in design software (e.g. AutoCAD Revit or similar).
