Job Description:

JOB OBJECTIVE-

Effectively manages project/events (design, plan, organise, deliver and measure) by effectively creating and executing against project timelines based on priorities, resource availability, and other project requirements (i.e., budget).

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES-

  1. 360° peripheral vision of all on-going matters within a project
  2. Communicate the status of projects being managed, including timeframes and document requirements, and key operational issues through (in)formal communications (e.g., status reports, e-mails, updates at meetings)
  3. Conscientiousness: Manage yourself and your Project Management responsibilities without constant intervention from a Manager
  4. Determine timelines and critical dates
  5. Manage a dedicated part of a project, or a basic project (e. g.: hotel, transportation, F&B, hospitality, entertainment)
  6. Meet and even improve standards of excellence (Achievement Drive)
  7. Prioritise tasks and projects
  8. Set up control mechanism to supervise given tasks to Project Assistants
  9. Source project-related third-party suppliers appropriately and effectively
  10. Build, maintain & entertain privileged relationships with relevant internal & external stakeholders (project assistants, colleagues, suppliers)
  11. Communicate expectations, roles and responsibilities to assistants and interns
  12. Delegate tasks and responsibilities
  13. Keep disruptive emotions and impulses under control (Self Control)
  14. Provide regular feedback on job performance of internal team (coordinators/interns)
  15. Acknowledge and monitor stakeholder concerns and capabilities
  16. Communicate effectively with stakeholders
  17. Make recommendations to improve service
  18. Take a client perspective, recognize and meet their needs (Service Orientation)
  19. Identify information to be managed and resources/systems available
  20. Keep records accurate and current
  21. Monitor use and effectiveness of information systems
  22. Use in proficient mode all tools and systems, computer hardware/software available (MS Office Suite, Copilot)

JOB REQUIREMENTS-

  1. 2-5 years of experience in project management in the Hospitality / Travel / MICE sector
  2. Bachelors Degree
  3. Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements.
  4. Willingness to travel and work in a global team of professionals.
  5. The ability to execute events effectively under high-pressure conditions
  6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  7. A confident and determined approach.
  8. Resilience and the ability to cope with rejection.

  10. The ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
