Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Product Buying / Sourcing Manager to lead sourcing, product development, and OEM management for small domestic appliances, with a focus on baby and pet care products. The role involves end-to-end ownership from supplier identification through product launch, quality assurance, and cost control.

This position is ideal for professionals with backgrounds in regional appliance brands operating across GCC and India.

Key Responsibilities
Product Sourcing & Development
  • Own end-to-end product sourcing and development for small domestic appliances
  • Translate market requirements into clear product briefs, specifications, and cost targets
  • Manage product lifecycle from concept to production and post-launch improvements
OEM / ODM Management
  • Identify, evaluate, and onboard OEM/ODM partners across China, SE Asia, and India
  • Conduct factory assessments covering quality systems, capacity, and compliance
  • Build long-term supplier relationships ensuring quality, continuity, and cost efficiency
Quality & Compliance
  • Define and implement QA/QC processes including pilot runs, inspections, and audits
  • Manage quality KPIs and corrective action plans with suppliers
  • Ensure compliance with applicable certifications and regulations (G-Mark / ESMA, BIS, CE, etc.)
Commercial & Cost Management
  • Lead BOM analysis, cost negotiations, and pricing discussions
  • Balance cost optimization with product performance, durability, and safety
  • Support margin planning and commercial viability of product ranges
Cross-Functional Support
  • Work closely with sales, marketing, and after-sales teams for product launches
  • Provide technical and sourcing inputs to support market execution
Candidate Profile
  • 7+ years of experience in Product Buying, Sourcing, or Product Development
  • Strong background in Small Domestic Appliances (SDA) or consumer electronics
  • Experience with regional appliance brands (e.g. Nikai, Super General, Westpoint, Aftron or similar) strongly preferred
  • Hands‑on exposure to OEM sourcing in China, SE Asia, and/or India
  • Solid understanding of electrical safety standards and regional certifications
  • Strong commercial, negotiation, and supplier management skills
  • Comfortable working across factories, suppliers, and internal stakeholders
