Role Overview:

Procurement Specialist supports the Unit Procurement Manager in executing sourcing plans for a specific unit, working closely together with other functions in the same unit. He/she identifies local sourcing opportunities, manages supplier tenders, acts as contract owner for selected suppliers, and manages related supplier relationships. He/she also supports individual customer projects with their specific needs and supports finding the optimal supplier set-up for these projects.

Key Responsibilities and Activities:
  • Direct Material & Spares: Works with the unit's business functions to understand needs, identifies local sourcing opportunities for direct materials and spare parts, negotiates frame contracts and price lists with suppliers, acts as contract owner for direct material/spares suppliers, supports the implementation of global/area category plans, and can act as a sourcing specialist for other units.
  • Customer Projects: Defines source plans, runs RFQs, negotiates contracts, and advises on preferred suppliers.
  • Installations: Works with the unit's business functions, identifies local sourcing opportunities, negotiates frame contracts, acts as contract owner, and supports the implementation of global/Area category plans.
  • Indirect: Collects business requirements, supports sourcing projects, updates local instructions, provides guidance, and ensures compliance.
Requirements:
  • Educational and Language Requirements: Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field, proficiency in spoken and written English.
  • Professional and Technical Skills: Strong supply market knowledge, proficiency in supplier tendering, negotiation, and contract management, familiarity with supplier performance and quality management.
  • Experience Requirements: Minimum 5 years of experience in procurement and supply chain management, familiarity with local procurement laws and supplier networks.
  • Core Competencies: Effective stakeholder management, expertise in change management, strategic and analytical mindset.
