Job summary

A procurement firm in Dubai is seeking a Purchasing & Sourcing professional responsible for managing supplier relationships, negotiating terms, and ensuring compliance with regulations. Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or related fields, along with a minimum of 3-5 years of procurement experience in the aluminium and glass or construction industry in the UAE.

Job description

Purchasing & Sourcing

• Identify evaluate and select reliable local and international suppliers for aluminium profiles glass accessories hardware and tools.

• Prepare and issue RFQs POs and negotiate terms including pricing delivery schedules and payment terms.

• Source alternative suppliers/materials to reduce costs and avoid project delays.

Vendor Management

• Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and subcontractors.

• Evaluate supplier performance based on quality pricing delivery and service.

• Ensure timely deliveries and follow up on pending or delayed orders.

Inventory & Cost Control

• Coordinate with the store and project team to track material usage and ensure optimum stock levels.

• Monitor procurement budgets and assist in cost-saving initiatives.

• Maintain accurate records of purchases pricing invoices and delivery notes.

Documentation & Compliance

• Ensure procurement processes comply with company policies and UAE regulations.

• Maintain proper documentation of all procurement activities for internal and external audits.

• Coordinate with finance for timely supplier payments.

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management Business Administration Engineering or a related field.

• Minimum 35 years of procurement experience in the aluminium & glass or construction industry in the UAE.

• Strong knowledge of aluminium systems glass specifications and fabrication accessories.

• Proficient in MS Office (especially Excel) ERP systems (SAP Oracle etc.) and procurement tools.

• Excellent negotiation communication and organizational skills.

• Ability to multitask and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.

• UAE Driving License is an advantage.
