The ideal candidate will have 8-12 years of experience in procurement and supply chain management, with a focus on industrial goods. Qualifications

• 8 - 12 years of experience in a similar role in Industrial and Manufacturing Goods.
• Experience in procurement and supply chain management.
• Handled multi-geography sourcing.

Job description

• Create and implement strategies for procurement that are cost effective, agile to suit market changes and with a quick turnaround time
• Ensuring to develop, build and foster a network of vendors/ suppliers
• Negotiating with vendors and suppliers to get favourable terms, timely supplies
• Execution and follow up of the PO placed to the point of shipment.
• Manage technological systems that track the shipment, inventory and supply of materials
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly procurement reports
• Ensure adherence to all safety, health, and environmental rules and regulations
• Partner with Commercial and Operations to contribute to Bids and Tenders
• Contract management and conducting assessment of suppliers
• Sourcing from Africa locally, China and India. Primarily for yellow goods plant and machinery, project purchases and process plants
• Keep abreast of changing industry trends

Education & Experience

• Graduate / BBA / MBA in Material Management or Supply Chain
• 8 - 12 years of experience in a similar role in Industrial and Manufacturing Goods
• Has worked in procurement and supply chain management
• Handled Multi geography
