A leading procurement firm in Abu Dhabi is seeking a procurement specialist to manage requests and evaluations for Support Craft procurement. The role requires maintaining strong relationships with vessel owners and ensuring compliance with procurement processes. Candidates should demonstrate strong analytical and negotiation skills, along with commercial awareness.

Responsibilities

  • Initiate and send Requests for Quotation (RFQ) to vessel owners to ensure Support Craft availability.
  • Conduct commercial analysis and evaluation of owners proposals.
  • Document procurement processes as per approved Procedures.
  • Maintain a strong working relationship with NMDC Resource Pool and vessel owners.
  • Prepare and compile tender documents for Support Craft procurement.
Job description
Responsibilities
  • Initiate and send Requests for Quotation (RFQ) to vessel owners in order to ensure the Resource Pool at all times has the necessary Support Craft available within the Fleet
  • Conduct commercial analysis and evaluation of owners proposals
  • Document procurement processes as per approved Procedures
  • Good working knowledge of BIMCO suite of charter party agreements in particular Supply time
  • Liaise closely with Logistics to ensure effective procurement of all allocated Purchase Requests and to address any problems
  • Prepare and compile tender documents for Support Craft procurement
  • Manage a strategic procurement process that aligns with customer needs while ensuring compliance with business processes
  • Maintain strong working relationship with NMDC Resource Pool and vessel owners
  • Oversee the timely procurement of Support Craft, adhering to established procurement business processes
  • Participate in the technical and un-priced commercial evaluation of tenders, leading the priced commercial evaluation of technically acceptable offers.
  • Prepare a comprehensive techno-commercial evaluation report and provide recommendations
  • Process award recommendations, secure necessary approvals, and finalize negotiations with the successful bidder
  • Verify that bidders conform to all tender documentation requirements, including guarantees, performance bonds, and insurance, following agreed formats and processes
  • Demonstrate a solid understanding of commercial and technical aspects relevant to procurement of Support Craft
  • Provide an effective procurement function for the NMDC group, offering governance, advice, and guidance to colleagues engaged in procurement activities
  • Develop and implement robust policies, processes, procedures, and systems to enhance the operational effectiveness of the NMDC group concerning procurement
