Overview
Primary Position Enquiries :
The Presales Engineer will play a vital role in supporting the sales team for Site Technology's Integrated Security Systems Division. This position focuses on designing and proposing technical solutions that meet customer requirements while ensuring optimal integration of security systems. The ideal candidate is a technically proficient professional with strong communication skills and the ability to translate customer needs into effective solution designs.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field
- 3-5 years of proven experience in a similar presales engineering role within the security systems industry
- Strong technical understanding of security system design, specifications, and integration
- Excellent knowledge of solution design and ability to translate customer requirements into successful technical specifications
- Strong interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills in both English and Arabic
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Experience in tender response preparation and bid team participation
- Proven track record in providing technical support for both pre and post-sales activities
- Strong documentation skills and attention to detail
- Ability to maintain up-to-date technical knowledge and commercial awareness
- Experience in coordinating with various stakeholders including clients, consultants, and contractors
Role & Responsibilities
Technical Support - Pre and Post Sales
- Design and propose viable, effective solutions that meet customer requirements
- Verify order documentation against proposed solution designs
- Provide technical escalation support for customers and sales team
- Participate in tender submissions and bid teams
- Support the Projects function in implementing technical solutions
- Attend customer meetings to provide pre and post-sales support
Commercial Support
- Ensure all proposed solutions comply with sales work instructions
- Provide timely and accurate design / pricing information to the sales team
- Maintain proper documentation for all opportunities
- Collaborate with the sales team on account plans and strategies
Product Development
- Maintain current knowledge of technical information and market trends
- Identify and recommend new tactical products for solution designs
- Share product enhancement knowledge through team presentations
General Support
- Identify potential business opportunities for products and services
- Work directly with customers / prospects when appropriate
- Coordinate with internal teams at various levels
- Collaborate with external stakeholders including clients, consultants, contractors, government entities, and suppliers
