Director of Planning – Data Centre Division

Location: Dubai

A global fast expanding data centre arm of a major publicly listed group, backed by one of the region’s largest and most successful organisations. Our customer build and operate hyperscale-standard data centres across the Middle East, Europe and Asia, partnering with top global cloud customers.

We are hiring a Director of Planning to lead planning across their Data Centre portfolio. Reporting to the Senior VP of Planning & Projects you will play a key leadership role in delivering world-class facilities for global hyperscaler clients.

Role Overview

You will oversee planning for new builds and existing data centres across the full lifecycle - from land acquisition and design through construction, testing, commissioning, and handover to major customers.

You will guide and challenge planners, manage the master schedule, validate timelines, and ensure delivery commitments are realistic. You will also support bids and tenders for upcoming data centre projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee planning and scheduling across multiple data centre projects.
• Manage or review the master schedule and assess delivery risks.
• Lead and support planners who each run several projects.
• Review construction, engineering, and commissioning plans.
• Contribute planning inputs to bids and tenders.

Experience Required

• 12–15 years of experience in data centres or technical infrastructure.
• Managed multiple data centres and operated a portfolio independently.
• Led planners working across several projects.
• Strong programme management understanding; able to validate and challenge timelines.
• No nationality or language preference.
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering preferred
